FÁLKI Wallet - DIY - Pattern Pdf
DLD patterns by Danesh Leather Design are intended for Leather crafters who either want to practice or develop their skills or in need of innovative and up to par designs for their shop and small businesses.
The Fálki is a one piece wallet Design, the pattern resembles a falcon, hence the name Fálki which means falcon in old Norse or today’s Icelandic. The design also has two main features. one is that it uses elastic cord as a closure, which gives it a very light and modern look. Second is that it is made with one piece folded in an origami technique. to apply that technique in leather, you’ll need to make grooves and skive the marked areas, this will make sure your folds are clean and crisp as in paper origami.
The pattern includes an optional piece to hold the elastic band on the back of the wallet, use the scraps from the main piece or use a different colour leather to create a contrasting effect.
Recommended leather for the project should be a medium to hard tempered leather with thickness between 1-1.4mm.
