Alister Classic Bi-fold | DIY | Pdf Pattern

DLD patterns by Danesh Leather Design are intended for Leather crafters who either want to practice or develop their skills or in need of innovative and up to par designs for their shop and small businesses.

The Alister

Name was inspired by the wing shaped pockets inside the wallet, therefore Alis.

The pattern has two options: with or without a coin purse. The coin purse version has 5 card pockets, the classic one has 8 slots.

It’s an easy to intermediate project and of course if you want to challenge yourself, I've added lining, and a complex purse flap with interlining as an options.

For this fun project, I recommend medium to firm tempered leather in 1.2 to 1.8 mm thickness (thinner for the inside and thicker for the wallet's shell. In case if lining, i personally use 2 layers of 1.2mm combining hard and softer temper to create the perfect shell.

My recommendation for iron size would be 3.00 but as always, you can use whichever irons you own, it will look great with everything between 4.00 to 2.00.
